Launched in 2014, Copper is a CRM specifically made for users of G Suite. Just like Salesforce, this CRM option has different plans to cater to varying business sizes. Copper CRM has around 12,000 users worldwide. Compared to Salesforce, Copper CRM clearly has a fewer number of users. Contact management 

When it comes to contact management, Salesforce lets its users gain a 360 view of its customers. This is possible through close monitoring of contacts, and tracking every transaction this contact had with the business.

Salesforce also documents a contact’s reaction to the communications sent to them by the business. For example, if a promotional email is sent to a contact, the CRM will record whether the contact has read, deleted, or replied to this email. This way, the tool builds a better understanding of contact preference.

Salesforce comes with the standard contact management capabilities such as storing and organizing contact data.

One of the special features Copper CRM is most proud of is its Zero Data Entry capability. This function automatically searches the web for the contact details, social profiles, and company information of every contact. It also constantly updates the records.

With the Tagging feature of Copper CRM, tags may be used to classify your contacts for more effective tracking.

Email management 

Salesforce lets users send emails to leads, contacts, colleagues, and clients directly from the CRM.

As Copper CRM is integrated with G Suite, users can send emails to clients and can access the CRM without leaving Gmail.

Reporting and dashboards 

Salesforce has a visual drag-and-drop feature that can make building reports simpler. Because of the simplicity of the process, it is possible to build reports in just a matter of minutes. Salesforce also lets users create scheduled reports.

When your report is ready, you can create a dashboard and share it with your coworkers.

In Copper CRM, reports can be built with the aid of the Copper CRM Custom Report Builder. The Customer Report Builder lets you import the data to Google Sheets, where you can build your report and dashboard.

Keep in mind that in using Google Sheets to build your report, you have to click Refresh every time you want the latest data to be displayed. This allows the newest information to be loaded.

Integrations 

Among the best features of Salesforce is the broad selection of apps and software that can be easily integrated. The majority of these apps or software are ones many users are quite familiar with, like Slack, G Suite, Intuit Quickbooks, MailChimp, and LinkedIn.

Since Copper CRM was made particularly for Google, G Suite apps such as Calendar, Drive, Hangouts, and Sheets integrate seamlessly into it. Copper CRM can also be integrated with Quickbooks, Zendesk, Hubspot and other apps.

Pricing 

Salesforce offers four different plans: Sales Essentials Edition, Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition, and Unlimited Edition.

Unsurprisingly, the more expensive the Salesforce plan is, the more capabilities and features it has.

Copper CRM plans are billed annually. It offers three plans: Copper Basic Edition, Copper Professional Edition, and Copper Business Edition.

For Copper CRM, each plan has a corresponding number of users allowable to access the CRM. Basic Edition can have up to 3 users, Professional Edition 10 users, and Business Edition  can have an unlimited number of users. Bigger storage capacity is also available for more expensive Copper plans.

The better CRM option

The budget and size of the business will certainly affect the answer as to which is the better CRM.

If you have just started a small business with only three members, you can begin with Copper CRM’s Basic Edition. As your business grows, you will be able to tell if your CRM can still handle your business needs, or if it’s time to upgrade to a better plan, or even switch to another CRM software vendor.

On the contrary, if you have a big business and want to go for the option that’s tried and true for many years now, Salesforce might be the more appropriate choice. After all, the success level of Salesforce and the high satisfaction rating of its users cannot be denied.

Although Salesforce is highly customizable, this particular quality can be overwhelming for users who aren’t tech savvy. On the other hand, if the users are comfortable working with various Google apps, Copper CRM might just be what you’re looking for.
