A lot of the rhetoric around education isn’t very productive. Gamficiation and education have a longer relationship than most people might realize, so it’s definitely worth looking at success stories, especially one as strong as Khan Academy, and dig for some solutions.

I think a lot of people like to deny that the U.S. education system is inferior as it compares to most other developed countries. Though I choose to side with the facts on that subject, I think the debate in and of itself is a pointless distraction. There is always room for improvement in education, and new theories should be constantly tested. Nothing bad can come from a more education population, and gamification has so many motivational success stories, I don’t see why we wouldn’t at least test it out.
