It depends on what a certain business needs. Email marketing is certainly easier to master. Marketing automation needs a lot of training, so you can be sure it’s working. Mostly the issues for businesses are that people who prepare marketing automation campaigns are not trained to do it. Also, with email marketing software like GetResponse you can use some of those functionalities in email marketing. I guess it’s all about doing the research and finding out what we get out of software. That way we can compare what we need with what we know.

Licensing the system is only a small portion of the cost. Integrating effectively into Sales and Marketing organizations and processes are the keys to marketing ROI/success.
